Cunard flagship is packed with 2,600 contractors and 1,200 crew in Hamburg
The flagship of Cunard Line – Queen Mary 2 is currently in dry-dock in Hamburg, Germany. She’s in the middle of her biggest refit since her launch in 2004. Spanning over 25 days she is due to receive huge changes to her public areas including a new restaurant and lounge.
Additionally, all Queens and Princess Grills staterooms are due complete refurbishments and a number of new staterooms are being added to the ship. Blohm+Voss, the shipyard where the ship is currently based have said over 200 tons of steel work alone will be added to the ship during the June makeover with staff working 24/7 to complete the task in time.
