Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 Remastered is going to be amazing!
Queen Mary 2 is due her biggest refurbishment to date starting in May 2016
Cunard Line’s iconic flagship will deliver new levels of luxury from next summer. Between late May and June 2016, she will undergo an extensive 25-day dry-dock in Hamburg, Germany.
The 2,620 passenger ship will get a huge makeover. The popular Queen’s and Princess Grills staterooms, restaurants will have a brand new look and feel. The designs will originate from Cunard’s unrivalled heritage and offer new furnishings, carpets and re-configurations to maximise space onboard.
The newly redesigned Queen’s and Princess Grills restaurants will be especially reconfigured to maximise space and bring a wider selection of ‘two-person’ tables which are most often requested.
Particular attention has been paid to taking inspiration from the original Queen Mary, enhancing the existing designs and emphasising the feeling of understated elegance that the newer Queen Mary 2 is renowned for. For example, the new bespoke luxury carpet throughout will feature design work inspired by the original Queen Mary. Naturally, the exclusive benefits of the historic Grills experience will remain unchanged, but all 172 Grills suites on the Queen Mary 2 will receive comprehensive restyling.
