MS Rotterdam (Holland America Line)

MS Rotterdam is one of four R-class ships, she was the first ship delivered. Guests aboard enjoy elegant dining rooms, a $2 million art and antique collection, wide teak decks and spacious staterooms — many with private verandas.

MS Rotterdam spends the summer around Europe, home-porting in Rotterdam. In the winter she moves across to the USA and operates several cruises from Boston and from Fort Lauderdale – some cruises include transatlantic crossings back to the Mediterranean. This ship and her sister MS Amsterdam both conduct longer voyages for the more seasoned cruisers.

During the summer of 2011, MS Rotterdam conducted Holland America Line’s first standalone transatlantic crossing since 1971, making a single trip both eastbound and westbound.
