Emerald Princess (Princess Cruises)

Overview

Emerald Princess is the second of three Crown-class ships by Princess Cruises, she is a modification of the original Grand-class design. An extra deck was added and the Movies Under The Stars entertainment venue before she launched.

She primarily sails currently from her homeport of Fort Lauderdale, USA – performing round-trips to the Caribbean and Bahamas. In the Summer she home-ports in Europe for cruise around the Mediterranean.

Trivia

Emerald Princess is a slightly larger version of the Grand-class ships, she has an additional deck of staterooms called the Riviera deck. She has nineteen decks in total – but following maritime traditions, she doesn’t have a Deck Thirteen as that is thought to bring bad luck!
