Overview

Originally nicknamed Project EDGECelebrity Edge is the first in the new Edge-class series of ships.

Celebrity Cruises announced a new class of ship in late 2014 – with an initial order of four vessels. The first, Celebrity Edge started construction in November 2016 with the first steel cutting; at the STX Shipyard in St. Nazaire, France.

Celebrity Edge is currently under construction and due for delivery in November 2018, with her sister ships due in 2020-2022.

Trivia

Celebrity Edge is the first of four Edge-class cruise ships. She will be one of the most technologically advanced cruise ships at launch. With features such as touchscreen controls of heat, light, sound in all staterooms and access by electronic keys on mobile phones.

Her staterooms have been designed in conjunction with Kelly Hoppen MBE. Exterior deck features have been designed in partnership with Tom Wright of WKK Architects.
