Royal Caribbean has announced that they are cancelling the next three sailings of Oasis of the Seas. This follows the news of a crane collapsing onto the ship yesterday during her first day in drydock.
Guests that were booked on the following sail dates: April 7th, 14th and 21st will receive full refunds and an extra credit of 100% towards a future cruise (based on the fare they paid). Royal Caribbean has confirmed they will be emailing guests shortly.
More photos have emerged of the damage to the ship and there have been eight confirmed injuries to crew/dockyard staff.
Oasis of the Seas entered drydock in Freeport, Bahamas yesterday for maintenance to one of her azipods which has been causing issues and was the initial reason for this drydock period at short notice.
