Cunard flagship set to leave Hamburg on Tuesday

After 22 days, Queen Mary 2 was spotted at the mouth of the River Elbe in Germany performing sea trials this weekend before heading back to the Port of Hamburg for more finishing touches.

Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 is due to leave the Port of Hamburg tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd June) and arrive back in the Port of Southampton on Thursday morning; ready for her transatlantic crossing to New York which will depart later in the afternoon.

Cunard has shared a few more teaser videos of the work in progress!

The entire QM2 Remastered program has been years in the making and it is amazing how the cruise line and the shipyard with its 1000’s of contractors have managed to squeeze all this work in, in just 25 days!

We look forward to seeing Queen Mary 2 back and looking fresh. We’ll bring you all the new photos and videos of her soon!
