Oceania Cruises is the latest cruise line to announce an expensive refurbishment initiative with OceaniaNEXT.
The overhaul focuses on bringing their four Regatta-Class ships in line with their two Oceania-Class ships, the first to be built specifically for Oceania. These small ships with a capacity of only 684 guests each will be totally redesigned. The enhancements include all-new designer suites and staterooms and a facelift on restaurants, bars and lounges to be inspired by the ships’ destinations.
The creatives behind the initiative are Studio DADO, a Miami design studio that specialises in luxury residential and hospitality spatial design.
Public Spaces
Comfort and style are at the forefront of the new designs with luxury furnishings from Baker and Donghia, fabrics from Rubelli and Kravet and engaging works of art. A new Grand Staircase and an astonishing hand-painted glass chandelier will take pride of place in the atrium to welcome guests as they step on board for the first time.
The Grand Dining Room will feature soft cream leather dining chairs with bronze accents, plush carpets and a glistening crystal chandelier centrepiece. The cocktail bar, Martinis will be given a new colour palette of Santorini-inspired deep blues, Sienna, chocolate brown and pewter.
Suites and staterooms
Out with the old staterooms and in with new, lighter staterooms with more space and storage. These new sophisticated and elegantly designed spaces have been furnished with custom-crafted pieces, exotic stone, polished wood finishes and designer accessories inspired by shades of the sea and the sky.
Expect to find thoughtfully placed USB ports, exclusive Ultra Tranquility Beds and a TV with multi-language movies on demand, live stations, your program guide, itinerary information and weather forecasts.
New staterooms mean new bathrooms – redesigned with perfect lighting, full glass showers, lavish vanities and other designer fixtures. The Penthouse, Vista and Owner’s Suite bathrooms will be more spacious and fitted with Carrara marble, polished granite and onyx.
Penthouse Suite guests will enjoy extra space for in-suite dining, living area, large bathroom with indulgent walk-in shower and a fully furnished, private teak balcony.
