Hurricane Humberto is changing several cruise line itineraries that are sailing to Bermuda this week.
The hurricane, which is classed as a Category 3 at the time of this article (Sept 18th 21:00 UTC) is slowly moving at 17 mph and is 120 miles west of Bermuda. It has sustained winds of 120mph.
This is the third hurricane in the season so far, just several weeks ago Hurricane Dorian caused significant damage to several islands in the Bahamas.
There have been no cancelled cruises as of the current time of posting.
Carnival Cruise Line changes
- Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Pride will now sail to Grand Turk & Amber Cover instead of overnighting in Bermuda.
Her itinerary now reads as Baltimore (embark), Sea day, Sea day, Grand Turk (was Bermuda), Amber Cover (was Bermuda), Sea day, Sea day, Baltimore (disembark 22nd)
- Carnival Sunrise also has an updated itinerary which now includes Charleston, South Carolina and a day at sea.
Her itinerary now reads as New York (embark), Sea day, Charleston, South Carolina (was Bermuda), Sea day (was Bermuda), Bermuda, Sea day, New York (disembark 22nd)
Royal Caribbean changes
Only Grandeur of the Seas was likely to be impacted by Hurricane Humberto, but the cruise line changed the itinerary by leaving slightly earlier yesterday from Bermuda instead of the late evening.
