Australian Cruise Season kicks off with Majestic Princess Arrival

Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess – the third of the Royal-Class ships arrived in Sydney, Australia today to kick off the Australian Summer Cruise Season.

The 144,200 GRT 3,560-passenger ship will start off on a 10-night cruise today calling at Brisbane and Port Douglas amongst other ports before returning to Sydney. She has been previously sailing on China/Japan itineraries since April and will stay in Australia until March 2020.

Princess Cruises will have five ships sailing from Sydney, Perth (Fremantle), Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland throughout the season – the most it has ever had to date.

According to Princess Cruises, the five ships will inject upwards of $70 million into the New South Wales economy during the season.

Chris is an ex-Royal Navy Reservist. During his time in the Royal Navy, Chris served in the Maritime Trade Operations branch. A now seasoned cruiser, the first ship for Chris was Cunard Line's Queen Victoria.
