This entry is part 1 of 10 in the series MSC Meraviglia Autumn 2018 Voyage

We’re joining MSC Cruises’ MSC Meraviglia for a 7-night voyage around the West Mediterranean.

We’re heading to Marseille, France to join MSC Meraviglia for a week-long voyage to some of the best ports in the Mediterranean. Our port-packed itinerary includes no actual sea days, so we’re going to be pretty busy exploring and reporting!

After leaving Marseille we start off with our first port of call to Genoa, Italy. A somewhat “mecca” to MSC ships new and old (only two months ago MSC Seaview was named there!). From here we’ll head South-East to a very common port of call – Civitavecchia! (Rome), we’ll then change heading and sail West to Sicily and Sardinia before swinging by Palma and then calling into Valencia before heading back to Marseille!

If you’ve followed us before, you’ll know we not only have live social media updates (Quick plug: Facebook, Twitter & Instagram!) but we update you with a live blog post every single day and like with MSC Magnifica, we’ll also have huge in-depth guides covering all aspects of the ship on our return!

We’re really excited to sail on MSC Meraviglia, with her 12 different dining venues, waterslides, in-door 96m-long central promenade and incredible entertainment options (Cirque du Soleil!) – there is going to be so much to show you! Here are a couple of preview shots of MSC Meraviglia:

MSC Meraviglia is just over 12 months old and is the biggest ship in MSC Cruises’ fleet. At 171,000 GRT with a capacity of 4,500 passengers and 1,540 crew, she is a big ship!

For those that haven’t been on MSC Meraviglia yet, she’ll be in the region until March 2019 – when her BRAND NEW sister ship MSC Bellissima will sail straight from her naming ceremony in Southampton to Genoa and then sail 7-13 night roundtrip cruises until November (more about her soon!).

With a heap of new equipment for this trip, we’re hoping to bring you some incredible footage from the ship and the ports we’re visiting. Again, we’re taking our drone (pending permits and weather!) we hope to bring you some stunning shots of MSC Meraviglia and the ports.
