Cunard World Cruise 2016: Bon Voyage!
In just under 3 hours from now, all three Cunard Queens will depart on world voyages
- Queen Mary 2 will fully circumnavigate the world, the first time in 7 years on her 120 night voyage
- Queen Victoria will take a Westerly circumnavigation of the world in her 120 night voyage
- Queen Elizabeth will take an East-West voyage to the Far East and Asia on her 121 night voyage
Here we can see Southampton from the three ships’ webcams. You can watch the live images from their cameras on our Cunard Line webcams page.
Currently, the final passengers are boarding the ships and supplies are being loaded in the port of Southampton. This is the last time all three ships will be in UK waters until early May – with a combined total of 118 port calls between the three ships that is a lot of sailing ahead of them!
All three ships are scheduled to leave at approximately 1800 tonight – there will be plenty of fireworks (weather dependent!) and already there has been a band playing in the Queen’s Room aboard Queen Mary 2 to celebrate the start of her World Voyage. Passengers will be settling into their staterooms and getting ready for an almighty sailaway to start what is for many; the holiday of a lifetime!
